The Selkirk Rex has now gained preliminary show Status!

We are a new club forming at the onset of the breed in this country hopefully to benefit anybody that may have an interest in this rare new breed home or abroad. We hope as a group to advance the breed here in the U.K

Anybody is welcome to join even if only from interest and to watch it's advancement or those that wish to become actively interested and involved for pleasure. breeding or in showing. Anyone with a photo that they have of a curly Selkirk Rex that they would like placed in the Gallery please forward it through to me. Or a piece that they would like to write on the breed that will be of interest to all. later hopefully the show wins.

The breed  has gained preliminary show status (with the gccf) so qualifies for merit awards. They can also be shown with TICA in the UK and receive show status. The interest in the Selkirk Rex is growing rapidly.

These are a hardy healthy breed of cats showing no signs of genetic health problems the outcrossing that is taking place must in my opinion be the attributing reason for this.

The Selkirk Rex and Allergies
